Perhaps the highlight of trip to NYC was the opportunity to experience five Broadway plays. We watched a good mixture of classics and new releases. We watched: Matilda, Les Miserables, Phantom of the Opera, Wicked, and School of Rock.

After each production, we enjoyed conversation about the elements we liked and disliked, usually over really good food. On Sunday, after we watched all five musicals, we discussed which plays, actors and music we liked as though we were voting on the Tony’s. Here were the results:
Best overall: Wicked
Best music: Phantom of the Opera
Best story: Les Miserables
Best production: Wicked
Most fun: Matilda
However, each musical was amazing. Even though School of Rock didn’t win anything, it was still a lot of fun. They were all fantastic.
